Keith Mcallister
Managing Director

Keith McAllister has three decades of experience in stone conservation and restoration having obtained City and Guilds of London Institute in craft and Advanced Architectural Stonemasonry at the City of Bath College UK. Keith also attended Bath Academy of Art in Stone Sculpturing and Bournemouth University studying Architectural Stonework and Conservation. He lectured in Stonemasonry at City of Bath College and has managed his own UK based restoration companies before emigrating to Australia in 1997.

Keith has demonstrated a commitment to the restoration and conservation of historic and ecclesiastical buildings in the UK, Europe and Australia throughout his career, focussing on efficient and professional service. He has provided a source of advice and assistance to government and professional organization on conservation procedures and methods.

Keith is a member of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), AICOMOS Traditional Trades Working Group, committee member of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), and the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) UK.

Mark Whitcher
Manager- HSR (Aust) Group

Mark studied Architectural Stonemasonry including Conservation and Restoration in the UK, gaining over 30 years’ experience in the industry. During this time, he both supervised and worked on some of the UK’s most iconic landmarks and historic buildings, including the Houses of Parliament, The National Art Gallery and the Foreign Office.

Mark moved to Australia in 2003 and began employment with HSR (Aust) Group, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. He is the company’s Construction Manager, and as such, oversees the general daily on-site operations.

Will Allen
Estimator / Project Manager - HSR (Aust) Group

Will has a Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics with Second Class A Honours from the University of South Australia.  Previous to his study he worked 7 years in the civil water industry as an Estimator/Project Manager.  Since graduating he has worked at the Construction Industry Training board as their Building Information Modelling Project Officer but since 2011 has been the Estimator/Contract Administrator for the HSR (Aust) Group.  He is a member of the Australian Institute of Building and lectures occasionally at the University of South Australia on Building Information Modelling.

Owen Jones
Site Supervisor WA - HSR (Aust) Group

Owen has worked in the construction industry for a number of years as a qualified Bricklayer / Stonemason. 

Owen joined HSR in 2013 where he supervised large restoration and conservation projects in South Australia.  With the expansion of HSR (Aust) Group into Western Australia, Owen moved to WA where he is now operating as HSR’s Site Manager. 

Rose Miller
Office Manager & Accounts – HSR (Aust) Group

Rose joined HSR (Aust) Group in 2011 as Office Manager. She came to this position after a varied career in the building, viticulture and sharebroking industries. Her duties include ensuring the smooth running of the office, payment of accounts and acting as personal assistant to the Managing Director.

Rose is also involved with Applied Building Conservation Training (ABCT) with the preparation of course notes and general course organisation.

Simon Pendle
Site Manager – Heritage Stone Restorations

Simon studied Architectural Stonemasonry at the City and Guilds of London Institute, City of Bath College graduating in 1992.  He then worked for a large stonemasonry company in the UK as a Banker mason and site supervisor before moving to Australia in 2008. 

He began employment with HSR (Aust) Group, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. He is the company’s Site Manager, and as such, is responsible for the smooth running of on-site operations.
